A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is slated to open along Route 228 in Adams Township, marking yet another milestone in the corridor’s rapid commercial growth.
The restaurant will be built on the grassy lot between Sheetz and the recently constructed McDonald’s near the intersection near Aldis. While construction has yet to begin, grading and utility preparations are expected to start later this fall, according to township officials.
The addition of Chick-fil-A is part of a larger wave of development transforming the Route 228 corridor into a regional destination for dining and retail. With national chains like Sheetz, McDonald’s, and now Chick-fil-A anchoring the area, Adams Township continues to attract both commercial investment and residential expansion.
“This area has seen tremendous growth, and this project will only add to the convenience for families, commuters, and workers along the corridor,” said one township official.
Once completed, the Chick-fil-A is expected to offer both indoor seating and a multi-lane drive-thru, catering to the busy traffic that moves through the Route 228 and Mars-Valencia Road corridor daily.
No official opening date has been announced, but construction is expected to begin before the end of the year.
