Multiple Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members recently placed in the Regional Leadership Conference (RLC).
Among the members that placed was freshman Grant Dunn, who placed fourth in Advertising.
“I was really surprised that I placed because I thought my category would be very competitive,” said Dunn.
Dunn prepared for the test by reading over study guides and doing additional research online about the Advertising category.
Students that placed in the RLC qualified for the State Leadership Conference (SLC) in Hershey.
To help relieve some of the costs associated with going to the SLC, FBLA members have held teacher lunches throughout the year.
Lunches are held once a month and provided by a catering company of the students’ choice.
“I think the lunches are a great idea because it’s only once a month while still getting teachers good food and raising money for our club,” said Dunn.
Along with Dunn, other students that qualified include seniors Callahan Johnson, Makenna Myler and Nico Salvini; juniors Reagan Dunn, Kate Ashbaugh, Gus Coffield and Landon Eagon; sophomore Emma Bloom; and freshman Rocco Delisio and Tripp Santora.
Students will travel to Hershey in April to compete against other Pa. schools in business led competitions.
