ADAMS TOWNSHIP — The Adams Township Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Monday to grant final approval to the Quincy Heights retail development along Route 228.
The plan calls for two buildings totaling about 21,000-square-foot retail center. One could house a restaurant, while the other is planned for multiple retail tenants, said John Kamin, legal counsel for the Glimcher Group. Brock Glimcher, a development associate with the company, also attended the meeting.Kamin said site work is complete and the developer is negotiating with prospective tenants. None were announced Monday.
“We want to make sure we have the right product for what they need,” explained Kamin. He estimated that building construction could begin in the spring, depending on those negotiations. He also expressed hope for an opening next spring, but said the schedule would depend on tenant build-outs.

The retail project is part of the larger Quincy Heights development, which also includes apartments being developed by Continental Building Company and new homes. The retail site sits along Route 228 in front of the Quincy Lofts apartment complex. No opening date has been set.
